Role Summary
Responsible for managing and supporting lab infrastructure, including servers, networking, hardware, and automation, to enable media platform development, testing, and validation.
Must-Have Skills
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server installation, configuration, and administration.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, storage systems, HFC networks, DOCSIS and infrastructure support
• Networking expertise in LAN, Switching, Routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with CPE/STB rack installation, structured cabling, patching, and cable management.
• Infrastructure deployment, provisioning, and lab environment setup.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience with Jira or any ITSM/ticketing tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in maintaining, monitoring, and resolving issues across facility systems to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation, asset inventory, and network diagrams.
• Ability to independently manage lab operations and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Technical awareness, in terms of health and safety, with knowledge or awareness of all key datacenters industry best practices.
Good-to-Have Skills
• Virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Media domain: Knowledge of STB, OTT, VoD, Live Streaming, CDN, and media delivery workflows.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, Grafana
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, RHCSA, VMware, or equivalent.
• Relevant safety certifications or training such as WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Awareness |
