Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to serve as a facilitator and servant leader for cross-functional delivery and support teams. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, driving continuous improvement, maintaining Jira and Confluence processes, and coordinating with Product Owners, developers, support teams, and other stakeholders. The role requires the ability to lead teams operating across both Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks while maintaining clear communication, delivery alignment, risk visibility, and effective work tracking. Key Responsibilities Agile Delivery and Facilitation - Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including:
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint planning
- Sprint reviews
- Sprint retrospectives
- Lead teams working within Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
- Promote the effective adoption of Agile practices across delivery and support teams.
- Identify and remove impediments affecting team progress.
- Foster continuous improvement across team processes and delivery practices.
Jira, Confluence and Work Management - Build, maintain, and optimize Jira boards and dashboards.
- Monitor support boards daily and follow up with team members on pending activities.
- Ensure tasks and tickets are correctly assigned, labelled, and maintained in the appropriate workflow status.
- Manage and improve Jira workflows and support boards to enable effective Agile execution.
- Maintain relevant Confluence documentation supporting project and Agile processes.
- Ensure boards remain organized and tickets are addressed in a timely manner.
Coaching and Continuous Improvement - Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders on Agile principles.
- Provide guidance on Jira and Confluence best practices.
- Identify process pain points and anti-patterns.
- Work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders to refine or redefine processes where required.
- Encourage accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.
Stakeholder and Cross-Team Coordination - Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, support teams, and other stakeholders to enable clear communication and delivery of project goals.
- Coordinate activities across teams with competing or conflicting priorities.
- Follow up with team members to ensure actions and delivery commitments are progressing.
- Support issue resolution through appropriate stakeholder engagement and escalation.
- Maintain effective communication across implementation and steady-state support activities.
Metrics, Risks and Change Management - Track and report Agile delivery metrics to stakeholders.
- Provide visibility into progress, impediments, risks, and dependencies.
- Support project risk identification and mitigation.
- Support change management activities within projects.
- Help minimize delivery impact arising from process changes, delayed reviews, unavailable stakeholders, or competing priorities.
Required Experience and Skills - Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience
- Strong experience working as a Scrum Master in enterprise delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Practical experience leading teams using both Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Jira boards and dashboards
- Jira workflows
- Support boards
- Confluence documentation
- Agile metrics and reporting
- Experience working with Product Owners, developers, application support teams, business stakeholders, and SMEs.
- Strong understanding of impediment management, risk mitigation, change management, and delivery coordination.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies, pain points, and anti-patterns.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
- Knowledge of Kanban and application support delivery models.
- Experience coordinating globally distributed or cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and enterprise lifecycle processes.
- Exposure to release management, dependency management, and governance reporting.
