Role Descriptions: 1- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Creating and managing AWS IAM users, groups, and roles. They enforce the principle of least privilege, manage credentials, and enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to secure the account.
2- Resource & Compute Management: Launching, configuring, and monitoring compute resources (like Amazon EC2 instances) and storage systems (like Amazon S3 buckets) to fit operational needs.
3- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Utilizing tools like Amazon CloudWatch to actively track server health, disk usage, and CPU metrics to prevent downtime and resolve performance bottlenecks.
4- Security & Compliance: Establishing security boundaries and deploying controls to protect the AWS environment from vulnerabilities. This includes configuring firewalls, setting up Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), and auditing logs with AWS CloudTrail
5- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Setting up automated, cost-effective backup solutions and defining disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity across multiple AWS regions
6- Cost Management: Monitoring cloud spending using tools like AWS Cost Explorer, shutting down idle resources, and optimizing the environment for better financial efficiency.
