Detailed Job Description:
A Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance platform infrastructure that supports engineering teams. This role focuses on enabling developer productivity through self-service platforms, automation, and reliable systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and maintain enterprise-scale cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Design and implement platform capabilities such as CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer tooling
Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
Develop internal developer platforms/self-service portals to streamline deployments
Lead container orchestration initiatives using Kubernetes and Docker
Establish and improve system reliability, scalability, and performance
Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks
Integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into platform design
Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application deployment and runtime
Drive standardization, governance, and best practices across platform engineering
