Canada Life is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to design| implement| and govern secure AWS cloud architectures within a highly regulated insurance and financial services environment. The role is responsible for defining cloud security standards| embedding security across platforms and pipelines| ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise risk requirements| and partnering with cloud| infrastructure| and application teams to enable secure| scalable cloud adoption.
Role Descriptions:
Design and govern secure AWS cloud architectures in a regulated insurance and financial services environment
Define and enforce cloud security standards | guardrails | and reference architectures
Embed security into cloud platforms | CICD pipelines | and infrastructure as code
Ensure compliance with regulatory | risk | privacy | and enterprise security requirements
Partner with cloud | infrastructure | application | and risk teams to enable secure cloud adoption
Lead threat modeling | security design reviews | and cloud security assessments
Required Skills Experience:
Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect with strong AWS expertise
Deep knowledge of AWS security services (IAM | KMS | CloudTrail | Security Hub | GuardDuty | etc.)
Experience with DevSecOps | IaC (Terraform CloudFormation) | and automation
Strong understanding of identity | network security | data protection | and Zero Trust principles
Experience working in regulated environments (insurance | BFSI | or similar)
AWS Security or cloud security certifications preferred |
