Canada Life is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. The BSA will play a key role in analyzing business needs| defining system requirements| and supporting the delivery of high-quality technology solutions across Life Insurance| Wealth| and Group Benefits platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge in insurance or financial services| excellent analytical skills| and proven experience working in Agile and or hybrid delivery models.

Role Descriptions:
Business Requirements Analysis:
Collaborate with business stakeholders (Product | Operations | Underwriting | Claims | Finance | Compliance) to understand business processes and objectives.
Elicit | analyze | and document business | functional | non-functional | and system requirements.
Translate business needs into clear user stories | use cases | process flows | and data models.
Ensure requirements align with regulatory | compliance | and security standards applicable in Canada.

Technology Solution Support:
Act as a liaison between business users | architects | developers | QA | and vendors.
Participate in solution design discussions | ensuring proposed solutions meet business needs.
Support system integrations across policy administration systems | billing | claims | CRM | and data platforms.
Assist with impact analysis for system changes and enhancements.

Agile Delivery Lifecycle Support:
Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum teams to support backlog grooming | sprint planning | and refinement.
Support UAT planning and execution | including test scenario creation and defect triage.
Validate delivered solutions against requirements and business expectations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.

Documentation Stakeholder Communication:
Produce and maintain high-quality documentation (BRDs | FRDs | user stories | interface specs).
Facilitate workshops | walkthroughs | and requirement review sessions.
Provide clear | concise communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business | Information Systems | Computer Science | or related field.
5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in large-scale environments.
Strong experience in Insurance or Financial Services (Life Insurance preferred).
Hands-on experience with AgileScrum and SDLC methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Policy administration systems, Claims | underwriting | billing | and customer servicing processes
Data analysis and reporting
Excellent analytical | problem-solving | and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with core insurance platforms (e.g. | Guidewire | Ingenium | Life400 | or similar).
Knowledge of Canadian regulatory standards (OSFI | privacy | risk | compliance).
Experience with APIs | system integrations | and data mapping.
CBAP | CCBA | or PMI-PBA certification.
Experience working in large enterprise or multi-vendor environments.
