Experience Required · BI Architect with hands on design and development experience in SAP BO WEBI and Crystal report, and Power BI · Experience of Reports Migration from SAP BO to Power BI · Define and document the end-to-end migration strategy for transitioning Business Objects reports to Power BI. · Assess existing BI landscape and identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans. · Design scalable and secure Power BI architecture, including datasets, dataflows, gateways, and workspaces. · Establish best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and governance. · Comprehensive knowledge of data design, data modeling data management and data visualization · Experience in creating data rich dashboards writing DAX expressions Good to have skills · Preferred - Additional programming experience: Python, R, · Report rationalization experience · Strong command over SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance optimization · Knowledge of star schema, snowflake schema, and semantic modeling for BI solutions. · Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and managing user roles.
Roles & Responsibilities · Lead technical teams through the migration process, ensuring adherence to standards and timelines. · Work closely with business users, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment. · Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. · Create migration playbooks, technical documentation, and user guides. · Provide guidance on converting Business Objects WEBI, Crystal reports logic and visualizations into Power BI equivalents. · Integrate Power BI with enterprise data sources (SQL Server, Data Warehouse, Cloud platforms). · Implement automated refresh schedules and deploy pipelines for reports and dashboards. · Optimize Power BI reports for speed and scalability. · Validate migrated reports for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with business requirements. · Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage user roles and permissions. · Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and
regulatory standards. · Stay updated on BI trends and Power BI enhancements. · Recommend improvements to reporting processes and architecture for long-term scalability.
Generic Managerial Skills · Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders. · Skilled in gathering requirements and aligning solutions with business objectives. · Preferred - Strong experience managing onshore-offshore models, client communication, and requirement gathering · Preferred - Proven ability to interact with business stakeholders, gather reporting requirements, and deliver scalable BI solutions. · Strong interpersonal skills to work with Offshore data engineers and analysts · Provide inputs to create clear technical documentation, migration playbooks, and training materials. |
