SAP BASIS - non-HANA • Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, and Solution Manager. • Hands-on experience with SAP system installation, upgrades, and migrations (including OS/DB migrations). • Proficiency in HANA database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. • Knowledge of SAP transport management system (TMS) and change control processes. • Experience with SAP security concepts, user administration, and role management. • Familiarity with SAP kernel upgrades, patching, and support package application. • Understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setups. • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for SAP hosting. • Strong troubleshooting skills for performance issues and system errors. Roles & Responsibilities • Perform SAP system administration including installation, configuration, and maintenance. • Manage system performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization. • Handle transport requests, system refreshes, and client copies. • Implement patches, upgrades, and kernel updates as per SAP guidelines. • Ensure system security and compliance with organizational standards. • Coordinate with functional and development teams for issue resolution. • Maintain backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems and databases. • Support disaster recovery drills and ensure high availability. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all Basis activities. • Provide 24x7 support for critical SAP environments as needed. Generic Managerial Skills, If any • Ability to lead a team of SAP Basis administrators and manage workloads. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Project management experience for SAP upgrades and migrations. • Capability to plan and execute system landscapes for large-scale deployments. • Vendor coordination for hardware, software, and cloud services. |
