Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Ruby on Rails applications. • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services. • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. • Collaborate with product owners, architects, UI/UX designers, and cross-functional teams. • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. • Participate in requirement analysis, estimation, and sprint planning. • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices. • Support application modernization, framework upgrades, and technical debt reduction. Required Skills • Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails. • Experience with Rails 5.x/6.x/7.x development and upgrades. • Expertise in REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architecture. • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases. • Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines. • Good understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software engineering principles. • Experience with background jobs (Sidekiq, Resque, etc.). • Familiarity with Redis and caching mechanisms. • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with React.js, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. • Exposure to DevOps practices and automation. • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. • Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability remediation. |
